In a 2026-10-17 livestream Ismael Perez named the Nerid Collective (he also says Narid; the spelling is uncertain) as the first of four undersea civilizations working with Space Force and the Earth Alliance. He described them as a highly advanced aquatic species of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge whose geothermal-powered cities launch craft that move seamlessly between water and sky.

Along the dark Mid-Atlantic Ridge, warm vents glow orange in the black water. A smooth craft rises silently beside you, its hull humming at a pitch you feel more than hear, and inside a calm, finned figure studies you with frank curiosity before raising one webbed hand in greeting.
